Oct. 5 FREDERICK — Maryland Shakespeare Festival is pleased to announce Canapés Catering founder M.L. Carroll will be the recipient of MSF’s first Arts Angel in Action Award to be presented at MSF’s annual Halloween Masque. Carroll will be recognized for more than 20 years of contributions to the cultural life and vitality of Frederick on Friday, October 26, at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center.

“M.L. honors us by accepting this recognition and makes this year’s Masque a premier event,” said MSF Artistic Director John Bellomo, referring to Carroll’s history of donations of catering and cuisine to nonprofit organizations throughout the arts community and other worthy causes. MSF is enormously exited and gratified to have the chance to shine a light on this incredible woman, her business and the bounty she habitually shares with others. One of Ms. Carroll’s guiding beliefs is to give back to her community.”

Canapés has provided renowned cuisine and unflagging personalized service to events throughout Maryland, and surrounding states. Carroll’s culinary talent and creativity have garnered a host of professional acknowledgements including first-place trophies at Frederick’s annual Chocolate Gala and An Evening on the Riviera.

Bellomo stressed, “Now, we can publicly celebrate M.L.’s behind-the-scenes beneficence and gather together to applaud her for being the community star she is.”
