Maryland Shakespeare Festival will ring in the holidays with a rambunctious, improvisational Bare Bard production of All’s Well That Ends Well! Three performances only: Friday, December 9th at 8 p.m., Saturday, December 10th at 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 11th at 2 p.m. For tickets click here or call 301-668-4090 or purchase at door.
Maryland Shakespeare Festival’s smash-hit Bare Bard Experimental Series brings Shakespeare’s classics back to the people by infusing them with raucous, irreverent, and highly improvisational energy! Just as William Shakespeare’s company of actors did four hundred years ago, MSF’s professional company will perform All’s Well That Ends Well with minimal rehearsal—only three days’ worth, to be exact! This is not museum Shakespeare—it’s lively, raw, and immediate, brimming with exciting improvisational acting, audience interaction, live music and dance, and unbeatable storytelling.
The heroine of All’s Well That Ends Well is Helena, a bright, fearless woman who wins the right to choose her own husband . . . but whose hopes are dashed when he rejects her love. Driven by her unrequited passion, or perhaps just the notion that “a deal’s a deal,” Helena pursues Bertram across borders and into a war. Join Maryland Shakespeare Festival as the company adds even more fun to an already uproarious romp by doing it all with very little rehearsal—and decide for yourself if Bertram was worth the trouble in the end!
See All’s Well That Ends Well Bare Bard on Friday, December 9th at 8 p.m., Saturday, December 10th at 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 11th at 2 p.m. Sunday’s performance will be followed by a spirited post-show discussion.
