7/23 – 7/25/2012 A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM Bare Bard at Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre!

The sun is shining, the weather is warming up, and Maryland Shakespeare Festival and Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre presents an audience favorite A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre for three days only: Monday, July 23rd through Wednesday July 25th at 8:30 p.m.

Join our professional company in unbeatable storytelling of this classic tale. Helena loves Demetrius, who loves Hermia, who loves Lysander.  A classic love triangle is in place now add: fighting fairy royalty, a mischievous sprite, and a donkey—and hilarious hijinks are sure to ensue. Performed in Maryland Shakespeare Festival’s signature Bare Bard style a improvisational and interactive experience that explores the original practices of William Shakespeare.

Shakespeare’s company was constantly turning out new plays at a breakneck pace. They changed the production they presented almost every night—and scholars believe they did it all with only a few days’ rehearsal and without the guiding hand of a director. The audience should expect—outrageous physical comedy, live music, choreographed dances, and audience interaction.
